“This will be the best bread you EVER eat! I guarantee it. I don’t throw guarantees around all willy nilly either. Find this dude and eat his bread. By the way, everybody, its not like i know this dude personally. i just buy his bread every other week. Its not like he’s a broke relative trying to get rich quick with hair care products and twisting my arm to say nice things or some crap. He just makes the best bread in Portland, maybe the universe. So quit firkin around and try a loaf!”

This bread is ridiculously fabulous! and good for you! Eat it! He also makes phenomenal crumpets. Try them with honey and a pinch of salt! And the focaccia is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!! Tomato basil or kalamata olive! This guy also makes corn bread and pita’s! And yes, the treats! So fantastic! I love the mini cinnamon loaves!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We eat big Foot every day!

“I just wanted to let you know that I was at the Farmer’s Market in the Lloyd area Tues 2/9/10. I was attending a BOLI seminar and crossed paths with the market. I picked up a loaf of Joshua Toasting Bread and brought it to a dinner party that night. It was incredible. My friend makes excellent food, but I filled up on your bread instead. I am very impressed and thankful that I found your stand when I did. It definitely beats the bread Thriftway sells as “artisan” and that big Portland chain (the name escapes me for a reason), and Bob’s Bread. The party loved it, too. I will be sure to look for you in the future when more farmer’s markets open in my area.

Thank you for incredible bread!”

Howdy! I hope everyone is enjoying the trace of snow here in Portland, Oregon. BigFoot Bread is loving it because it gives me lots of time to think of new products and get my taxes done. So I’m sitting here at the BigFoot Bread Headquarters and I get a hankerin’ for some homemade waffles. Not those frozen discs of preservatives – oh no – you know the kind – the generic flavorless things our mothers gave us when money and time were short. I can’t completely complain but I can do something about it – the BigFoot Bread way.

BigFoot Bread Waffles! Ta-da! Okay – not so fast. I have to produce samples and feed them to my loyal testers – my next door neighbors. They’re beyond fastidious when it comes to my products. Many of the items some of you love to indulge are the product of their input and critique. I would be no where without their assistance. The grand plan is to offer 3 or 4 varieties. First – Vanilla Plain. I love vanilla and plain is so useful for a variety of methods. Waffles for breakfast with real butter and jam or honey or syrup. Or perhaps you like to use them as transportation for sausage and bacon and eggs. I could go on and I will go on later when I sample these other fine concoctions: glazed pecans; cinnamon raisin AND garlic basil – YES – GARLIC! Waffles as a pizza base. Waffles served with your Italian meals. Waffle Sandwiches. Oh my the glorious Waffle.

Well, I’ll just pick my self up and get busy. Time to make some new products and get busy. April is almost here and I can’t wait for the new kitchen to be finished. Cheers to you and your family.

I hope to see YOU and your family at the next market!

Go inside"

When I received this lovely piece of artwork from Smart Art Mama – Marnie B I never thought in my wildest dreams it would come true that the winds of misfortune would blow my way. But they did and for a brief moment in time I thought BigFoot Bread was a goner. Well thanks to the generosity of Packer Orchards I am going to be baking my goods in style!

So for all your folks out there who were faithful to buy my baked goods this past weekend rest assured that you will continue to enjoy BigFoot Bread products until there is little to no breath left in my lungs. And that is a long time from happenin’ as long as I have to say anything about that. So try as I may I will try to have cinnamon rolls on the weekends markets. I’m afraid that won’t be possible for the Forest Grove Deliveries or for Lloyd Market. I, am, however happy to bring the Lou’s Baked Apple Mini Loaves back for the Winter and keep them around all the way through Summer. This year, however, we’ll be changing the fruit to match the season: Apple/Pear, Cherry, Blueberry, Peach, etc. . That way we’ll keep you enticed as the year goes on.

Again thank you all for being faithful followers. I hope to see YOU all at the markets in another week!

Have no fear. BigFoot Bread can be found at the Oregon City Farmers Market @ 8th and Main Street in Downtown Oregon City this Saturday February 5th, 2011 from 10am to 2pm. You can find my booth right next to the music. Come rain or shine and I think it’s going to be shiny this weekend, I’ll have everything I make except for the MoreWheaty Loaf which is on vacation until Spring. BigFoot Bread will also be at the Hillsdale Farmers Market which is located in the Wilson High School Parking Lot down the slope from the Batting Cage and across from the Soccer Field. We’ll be out in full swing this Sunday, February 6th, 2011 from 10am to 2pm. My booth is newly located between Ayers Farms and Sweet Briar or Sweet & Savory Crepes.

I hope you can make it out to either of those markets as this is temporarily the last markets I have scheduled until the new kitchen is available for me to move back in. If you happen to be a regular customer and have any specific product would you like to ensure I have for your purchase on either date, do not hesitate to call me or email your requests. I cannot guarantee product availability otherwise.

Thank you, all, for your support and I hope to see YOU at the market this weekend!
